Best to go when its cooler. Nice walk through nature, quiet and lot to see - water, prairie, wildflowers, bison, a small area with tress and plants being cultivated, farm equipment. Wonderful for photography as well.

Maybe I was expecting too much. Took the trails, but there really isn't that much to see. The "farm" was nice to tour although the farm house only allows you in three rooms.

They offer so many programs, especially to kids. The summer and winter camps are well organized. Good place to learn about local plants and animals.

Bison, history, marshes, snakes (saw 2 in the wild), turtles (saw many), lizards (saw several), alligators (didn't see any), beautiful trees, flowers, vintage farmhouse (didn't go in), many birds. Beautiful, informational, relaxing place. We--3 older adults, 1 younger (40s) adult...More

For more than 20 years, I'd passed by this area with no idea it was a nature refuge. I moved off to central Texas where birding and an appreciation for nature blossomed. In discovering many wonderful places during that time it was when I moved...More
