Amazing park with level paved pads and great canopy of trees. W/E only with a dump station. There are some nice water sites but all the sites are worthy of having them. Decent bathhouse but no soap to wash hands. Nice swimming and picnic area. Large field for games and flying kites. Stayed here in a 35 ft tt with... More

This is a nice state park. Over the years we have been here many times. We stay for one night as we pass through the area. I wish more sites had lake views. It's always a treat if Vaughn's is open (catfish restaurant across the road), but they are only open Thursday-Sunday.

This was my second trip, or I should say second family and freinds weekend. We stayed in their shelters so not really camping, but not quite a luxury stay either. The shelters are good sized, easly sleeps 4 with plenty of room for storage, nice big site with campfire ring, picnic table and parking for 2 cars. The whole campgound... More

It is nice getaway for a day from the flat Dallas area. I strongly recommend taking avoid highways on the map and take the route through the country side 635 then 30 and then 276 throughout and finally 515 passing winnsboro . The route starts to get better as you get away the DFW region with passing over couple of... More

very clean park, huge lake, good shady spot, quiet at moccasin track. saw a deer and clear sky to see the milky way, would definitely go back. the spots could be closer to the water but are nice. has small cemetery of 1800's confederate soldiers.

Great small park! This was our second time to camp here. They offer 30 amp service. Most sites are good, but the majority of them are shorter. We have a 32" and it fit well in site #12 and that site has water front too so it worked out great! Nice picnic areas by the pier. The sell ice and... More

Great place for a family get together. Nice playground for the kids. RV spots are spacious and you get to pick the one you want upon arrival. Very nice staff. Park is well kept with lots of wildlife (deer) to see. Will come again!

My husband and I recently visited a wonderful little gem in east Texas. Lake Bob Sandlin State Park. The park looks as if it was taken out of a fairy tale. An enchanted forest galore! This is the cleanest park I have seen in quite a while. The grills were even spotless! Restrooms very very clean, no trash anywhere in... More

We stayed eight days. Park Hosts were awesome and very friendly. We stayed at site 47 with our popup Jayco. Very nice park. The concrete pads are short, but the park is well maintained. Private shower stalls were very nice. There's no WIFI and cell range can be limited if you don't have Verizon or At&T. Trails are very nice... More
