Great place to take old or young

Easily accessible science with a great presentation. Wonderful volunteers. COLD A/C which is a great break from the summer sun or winter cold.

Not sure if the regular person was unavailable?? It is free so we didn't expect too much but it was painful to watch. The lady talking was very unprepared and couldn't work the projector. We had out of town company with us but we had never been here either, so it was rather embarrassing. Won't go back.

They had a great staff and an equally great "seated" presentation of our planet that you won't find elsewhere. The rest of the center has great presentations of the local waters, plants and wildlife. Well worth a visit.

This opportunity might have been missed, were it not for the recommendation of Pete Walker, the Docent at the nearby Maritime Museum. There is a very interesting 3D holographic presentation of the Earth and the various weather systems and their influence on Global Climate. This presentation is a compilation of data from numerous weather satellites presently orbiting the Earth, distilled... More

Kids and I visited last Thursday and were in awe of the world exhibit and the presentation on El Nino/La Nina. Hands on exhibit is a great way to get kids interested in science.

This is a FREE ADMISSION center and presentation, a great place to stop in when you need a break from the Texas heat and the sandy beach. Highly recommended! The Center is located right outside the entrance to the Rockport Beach Park. It's a small center, but with a lot of good information. There are some interactive exhibits for kids,... More

Different presentations at the sphere are given at 2PM Tues-Sat. The presentations are given by knowledgeable staff who are willing to answer questions after the presentation. It is a good resource for school children and anyone interested in the oceans and weather. We try to attend several presentations Jan-Mar. The exhibits at the Center are also interesting and depict bird... More

Beautiful stop to learn about the area and how our climate changes affect all living things in the estuaries. The presentation using the Big globe is impressive.

Informed support staff offers good educational presentations using a 3D globe. Rockport is one of 50 with this globe in existence. Very special treat for you.
