El Nino/La Nina explained!!

Great experience for my 9 and 6 year young kiddos. NOAA presentation on how the oceans effect our weather around the world. Kids really enjoyed and so did I.

I used to enjoy taking visitors to the Sphere on Saturdays when the show was a little of every program done during the week all of which covered a specific topic. I raved about the show to friends here from New York. They both fell asleep and I was so bored that I have no recollection of the show. Change... More

This is one of a handful presentations like it in the country. The sphere actually appeared to be floating in mid air. The projections were informative.

It's really neat to have this learning opportunity while in Rockport. It takes about 30 minutes to experience and is worth the stop. Wish they offered more times, would be a perfect way to start out the day before starting beach activities...however the only times are at 2pm and 3pm.

This science center was pretty great. We had spent the day relaxing and found it by accident. The sphere is amazing and to get to see one in person was really exciting. The next time I visit Rockport I will return.

These global "Science on A Sphere" presentations are held on Tuesday - Saturday, and a different aspect of the world is covered each day - planets, atmosphere, land, oceans and finally a variety of the "most interesting". Only 50 of these are found across the United States. It's amazing to follow the various things that make our atmosphere and weather... More
