My husband and I stopped in for a wine tasting...we won't go back. The very talkative server told us to take a seat and she'd be with us shortly. We shared 6 tastings, and each wine tasted the same...that is when we could get the server to pay attention to us, as she was too busy socializing!

Woodrose winery has potential, but feel below our expectations. Wine is okay, but after tasting some other wineries, this one fell short. Wines are mediocre and priced under $24 for most. The people were friendly but watch out for the youngest dog--he nipped me when I was petting the older dog. Probably was just playing, but it left a blood... More

Absolutely the most delightful winery in Hill Country!! Mike does justice with his Warner's Barrel & Unfiltered Syrah - Bravo! Don't forget to say a hello to his gracious staff, + Cork & Brie!

Wine tastings are done in flights of six and were all enjoyable. A definite must if you are hitting the 290 wine corridor.

Our second stop on our self-guided Texas wine tour, and we were surprised at how different the feel of this place is. You walk in, they give you a glass, then you choose your table and they come take your order. We headed straight for the back deck -- it was a gorgeous fall day -- where there was live... More

We just had a delicious Italian meal with 6 wine parings at Woodrose Winery in Stonewall, Texas. Owner and Chef, Mike Guilette, truly loves making wine and cooking. Next to the tasting room is a large restaurant, open on Saturdays (good time to arrive is 12:00-1:00 before the tour busses). $25.00 per person, 6 food stations, each with a wine.... More

We have tasted most of the local wineries and find Woodrose to be ok. I am not a big white wine drinker but neither of theirs were palatable. Their reds were barely drinkable. The only one I may have had a glass of if forced to make a choice was the Syrah. We had visited here a few years ago... More

$12 tasting, includes tax. Tastings served while sitting at table - inside or outside available. Pours decent size. We visited 4 wineries, and this one was by far our least favorite - all around. No info provided about wine other than year and name (i.e., 2012 merlot). One of the nice thing about tastings is learning about the wines. Particularly... More

We were disappointed with this part of our trip! The food was good but most of the wine that was paired with the food was terrible! It was not only our group, but most of the people on our bus!! Not going back here anytime ever!👎🏻
