Our family have been visiting relatives in Texarkana for years; yet, we've never really explored the the town's rich historical heritage until today. While my daughter was catching Pokemons on her phone, I was driving my mother and her roommate from the nursing care center around downtown to observe the sights and sounds of Texarkana. I arrived and was greeted by a wonderful older woman who was being berated by a middle age woman of color. I could not believe my ears at what was said to this sweetheart of an older woman. As I tried to ignore the discourse, I found the museum enticing yet distracting since the altercation continued throughout my visit.

Though the streets in Texarkana are not fully co-ordinated and rather confusing due to city being in both Texas and Arkansas, it has many wonderful attractions to enjoy Take the time to visit them all and especially Perot Theatre and old Federal Courthouse Art Museum.

Nice museum , not real big. Two floors that cover the history of Texarkana. The car museum is only open on weekends . We never found the railroad museum.

Enjoyed 4 museums in one day - Ace of Clubs house, Antique Auto Museum, Railroad Museum, and Discovery Place. Great places to take children. THoughtful and helpful docents at all locations.

It is a good 30 minutes tour. self guided. there are lots of pictures and the story of how texarkana and the hospitals where made. it wouldnt take long and will entertain you for a bit, but wont knock your socks off..
