It helps to know the history of the Garden before or after your tour. But the experience it self will be more than satisfying. The Garden is well themed and accommodates parking and traffic well. It is popular but your viewing is rarely interrupted with people traffic or noise..Come with comfortable shoes and sun screen. Its a park to stroll... More

Our local Aggies took our group to many good restaurants and sites to see. We even visited local homes to see their gardens and the homeowners were very accommodating.

No playground here, but it's nice for a walk and beautiful for pictures (when roses are in bloom) no concessions are sold here but there is a little store that sells souveniers. The building is great to rent for weddings and parties

I never knew about Tyler and the legendary roses, but after a visit to the Rose Garden, I can't believe I did know! This is a STUNNING place. Acres upon acres of beautiful roses that are not only beautiful to see, but overwhelming to the senses since the aroma of the flowers is so thick in the air that it's... More

Many of the roses were still in bloom. A great variety of plants and flowers with nice labels. Lovely area to visit.

Wife and I was looking for something to do in tyler. We went to the rose garden. This place is amazing with the amount of different roses. Give yourself a few hours to walk through the park. Very clean and peaceful place. A must see when in tyler

Decided to take a break from driving and visit the Rose garden in Tyler, Texas. Even though the roses had already bloomed past their peak the gardens were still beautiful. The gardens are free to walk around. I can't wait to go back next year when flowers are at their peak.

The park is free to the public (we did not pay to enter the museum) and a wonderful place to spend an hour. Hundreds of varieties of roses!! We went with our kids (12 and 14) who were not initially excited about it, but they ended up taking lots of pictures and talking about all of their favorites!

We visited the Rose Garden for the first time, despite having heard about it for years. We missed the peak blooms, but it was still gorgeous. And it's free! The highlight for me was actually the shade garden area. I love the layers of plant life, from the big trees to the tiny ferns.
