Our first visit to the park was part of a trail race (Running the Rose), and it is now one our favorite locations. I love the trails through the trees and hills. Parking was easy. Staff was friendly. We'll be back!

Great park, lake, and RV/Cabin spot tucked away in Tyler. Several full hook up RV spots; nicely laid out; with overflow or group sites in a spoke section, with it's own wash rooms and showers. Tent camping; screened shelters with lattice at the bedroom end...More

This park is surprisingly big but the lake is not too big. You can easily walk around it in an hour. The trails are very nice with all levels of challenge. It is hard to get into this park but well worth it. The Lakeside...More

It was very relaxing to come to this park, at the time my wife was having a major surgery and I just went here and spend a hour in prayer.

Tyler State Park is a hidden gem of cheap outings for a family to go and enjoy. Plenty of hiking and water activities in addition to some nice views and quiet spots.

After four months of full-time RVing, Tyler is the busiest park we've visited. We spent four quiet days in the Big Pine area, site 42, which was relatively level. All sites were pull-thru. Ours was full hook-up with a big side yard. Our left side...More

I'd recommend this park for RV'ers. You can have full hook-ups with sewer too which many state parks don't have. There are plenty of trails, the water is clean and clear and the park is well taken care of. This is a great park to...More

I hesitated to review this park because I don't want a large increase in visitors to take away from the serenity of the park. It really is a jewel for hiking and camping. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I.
