After several friends had recommended this park, we were finally able to secure a spot for 4 nights. Tucked amid the rolling East Texas hills, I found bicycling the roads quite challenging, but doable. The campsite are situated around the lake, and the two main...More

We stayed in a water/electric site during the week in April, so it wasn't crowded. Clean bathrooms, firewood left for us, lots of room at our site so we weren't on top of our two nieghbors, lots of shade. We brought our own canoe and...More

We live close to the park, so we keep a yearly pass. It is a large park, with lots of camping, picnicking, hiking and boat rentals. Worth your time. Very nice. Friendly employees.

Hiked two of the shorter trails which still took a few hours. Pretty views, not too crowded, well marked trails. Next time will try the paddle boats.
