We have been taking formal pictures here for a least 5 years and we have seen many changes that improve the gardens each year. It is always well kept and cared for. My kids love the Koi pond. I like that there are so many different areas to choose from for pictures. It doesn't matter what season you do because... More

This was mentioned in a travel guide as a nice place to visit. I was on my way back to Austin and easily located the gardens. They were preparing for a wedding so there was a good bit of activity going on. This would make a great location for a small wedding. The garden is a creative endeavor that has... More

I had some time before I needed to head to the airport for my flight home. I looked up things to do on trip advisor, and came across these gardens. What a magical place. It was Friday mid day, and I had the place to myself. The weather was perfect for wandering the gardens. I strolled around and took pictures... More

The tulips and a few other flowers were in bloom because of the timing of my visit the trees did not have leaves and still the garden was breath taking. The inside and outside of the house had a wonderful ambiance and historical presence. Having the ticket sales person give a little historical information by asking a few questions was... More

I have visited Chandor gardens several times. It is always beautiful and well maintained. The off season is as relaxing as the peak times when all is in full bloom. If you like nature, the passion put into this place is truly evident. I would recommend checking with them ahead during peak times as it can get busy.

We were there with our daughter in laws parents. We were delighted to get to watch bridal pictures being taken. It is so. Ice to see the gardens opened up again.

This gem of a restored home and gardens of the famous portrait artist Douglas Chandor has been available for public tours after the city of Weatherford purchased the property from a local couple who bought the house and gardens when it was in a state of disrepair. They completely restored the beautiful compound to its original splendor before they sold... More

We were fortunate to have a delightful docent who told us the history of the magnificent house and gardens. Every window in the house has a delightful view of a garden vignette and when you are in the house and garden you enter a peaceful and beautiful space and have no idea that you are in the heart of Weatherford....
