We finally stopped in to this little gem during a rainy day. It was very interesting to learn about the history of the area and see a stagecoach. They even let us get in and experience what it might have been like to ride in one. The kids enjoyed the Lincoln Logs the best and wanted to stay and build... More

I attended a special event at the Heritage Center which I had visited before. The staff is friendly and helpful. I toured the museum and the exhibits are high quality and professional. They have some permanent exhibits and some rotating exhibits. Their collection is continually growing as memorabilia is donated and acquired. They are currently working on installation of a... More

We live in Weatherford, so this wonderful center is open to us year round. Currently we are attending the Doss at Night Lecture series on Parker County history, which is great! Every event we attend is fun and meaningful, and we can't wait for the installation of the first log cabin! Thank you for keeping our history alive, and for... More

The Doss Heritage Center is a great place to visit for local artists or special exhibits. There is a nice permanent collection of Weatherford's Mary Martin and her son Larry Hagman's memorabilia here too. There is a nice large room to rent for special events and an outdoor wooded area available too. There is also a log cabin park in... More

This cultural center is a must when you visit Weatherford. It has a permanent exhibit of Mary Martin and her son Larry Hagman which is extremely interesting. The local artifacts and history in the other exhibits are not to be missed. An extremely lovely facility where you can become totally engrossed (as I did!).

Loved the location and so many interesting thing to read about and see at the center. Sadly I read each card about the shoes, I really hope this helps curb domestic violence.

This cultural center has both permanent & visiting exhibits. Permanent ones include a room dedicated to homegrown Mary Martin aka Peter Pan, Tommy Lee Jone's saddle from Lonesome Dove movie, artifacts from Larry Hagman of Dallas fame who was Mary Martin's son. So much more! Large assembly room with kitchen for catered events, etc

The Doss heritage and culture center is a facility filled with local history. You can walk around and view their interesting displays of local artifacts and information. There are rooms available for events like meetings and parties. I attended a baby shower here. This venue also allows weddings and the surrounding oak trees are a great backdrop. Beautiful landscaping, plenty... More

One room specializes in all things locale and western as Weatherford was an old west town. Another is dedicated to the great Actress Mary Martin who was born and raised in Weatherford, Texas. Many of her personal costumes are on display.
