The Wave is a sandstone rock formation located near Big Water, Utah on the slopes of the Coyote Buttes, in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, on the Colorado Plateau. Such a geologically fun place to visit. It's like stepping into a Dr. Seuss book! We got a lottery permit for December 2014. We packed in dresses to wear for fun. Stopping at the Grand Canyon before Coyote Buttes extended the red rock bonanza.

I enjoyed every minute of the experience. Won the in house lotto, last number to be called. Be sure to bring plenty of water in the hot dessert hike.

It is a rather long walk back and forward. It is not to hilly, but your mum needs be able to walk for at least 4 hours
