The Edge of the Cedars State Park is a GREAT PLACE for the whole family. Everyone will find something that interests them. Activities and attractions foer all ages abound. This is really a non-review, because we didn't actually get to visit the state park. After driving for 2 hours to reach Blanding we arrived at the State Park, only to discover that it is closed on Sundays. Shame on us for not checking beforehand, but who would ever think that a State Park would be closed on the weekend?... More

For Anasazi Indian artifacts and exhibits this has to be one of the best. Visitors at other museums went out of the way to rave about it and we were not disappointed.

If you are interested in the ancient pueblo people this is the best museum around. Recommended by the rangers at Mesa Verde it has an amazing bright red macaw feather robe and a blanket woven from yucca and turkey feathers. Great pottery collection and much more.

This museum has an excellent collection of ancient pottery. I can't believe how many they had that were in good condition. They were all so beautiful. I was also impressed with the children's exhibit. I don't know that I would travel to Southern Utah just for this, but it was a great place to stop, stretch our legs, and have... More

If you are interested in Pueblo culture, this museum has a very fine and extensive collection of artifacts. Rooms full of pots; woven materials; clothing; sandals: it even has a ruin on its premises. The exhibits are very well curated. The museum is active in protecting newly discovered artifacts in the field.

We were greatly impressed by the extent of the collection and how it is presented. Most exhibits group artifacts by how they were used or other themes. For example, there is an extensive collection of arrow and projectile points accompanied by a display of how an atlatl is used. There are fascinating examples of rabbit-fur and turkey feather blankets. Another... More

This little state park is tucked away on the west side of town, so you have to want to find it or you will miss it. There is an extensive museum of artifacts, some of them pretty amazing, and a lot of extensive explanations about finding and caring for the artifacts and the different periods of the settlements. The whole... More

Very interesting. Self guided tour with a book. Very nice store too. Well worth the price. Schools take students there every year.
