There is not much between Hanksville and Blanding, so make sure your gas tank is full and that you have some snacks because it will be a few hours before you get to a place to eat or purchase gasoline. But, if you are looking...More

Stunning drive. Utah 12 gets all the hype as the state's top drive, but I found 95 equally stunning, and much less busy. I took it to get from Capitol Reef to Monument Valley, and for 2 hours I was just about the only car...More

Route 95 has more scenic beauty than nearly any other road in the area. If you enjoy hiking & historic routes, you can easily make this a full day drive. Here are some ideas. At mile marker 110 called "Butler Wash" there is a parking...More

We left Blanding, UT headed for Hanksville (Capitol Reef) on what we thought would be a nice but ho-hum drive. Boy, were we surprised. I know that this is labelled as a scenic drive. It was awesome. It was one of the highlights of our...More

Beautiful scenery! Really a nice route! Not a highway, and at times I understand it can back up with traffic. But a scenic drive, so if you're prepared for that, then you won't get too disappointed if you are slowed down some.

We drove this entire stretch and even though we were very behind "schedule" we could not stop ourselves from pulling over time and time again to take photos along this route. It was simply that amazing........

No, don't believe there is any motel lodging along that route. You either have to stay in Hanksville or Blanding. It's pretty remote along that route. But it sure is beautiful.
