We really enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights. The campsites were great with a lot of room. Bring a shade tent because it gets hot here. There are plenty of hikes you can do here with nobody around to bother you. They also...More

Kodachrome was I interesting because of the tubes, but it was farther to drive to reach it and way hotter out there too. Day use fee and small visitor center that had several signs/exhibits on scorpions plus live ones in a tank. Small hot looking...More

The hikes are easy with great views. We went on a Monday and there were only a few people there. I would suggest driving slow to get a few of the spots due to the gravel road after one leaves the visitor center.

Just spent two days there in our 24' Sprinter RV. We were in a full hookup site. All sites are paved as are the roads in the campground. A great place for kids to bike around. The restroom/shower facility is absolutely first class. I've never...More

It was a long drive to get to this park and there was not a lot to see. There were quite a few camp sites and a short hike and a drive to the chimney rock. Oh well, any day traveling is a good day.

We stopped at Kodachrome as part of our road trip around Zion, Bryce, Red Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands and Monument Valley and I have to say I was a bit disappointed with Kodachrome. If you are at Bryce and heading to Capitol Reef via...More

Spectacular views, to be sure, but our hike was out in the open, hot, dusty, and, despite the map, confusing.

This is not a huge state park, but it's well worth a ride though. The colors on the rocks are amazing and so pretty. There are lots of good photo ops here. Go at sunset or sunup for a totally different experience. This is our...More

I would have to recommend Bryce if you only have time for one of the two parks. The scenery at Bryce is of a unique nature and on a scale that is hard to match. Bryce is also well suited to driving through in that there is... More

Hi, I stayed one night last April. It is a camp - not a motel. Tents and RV's. Electric outlet in public facilities only. Scenery pays for everything.

Hi, I have no idea, we were there only for a few hours, but did not see any dogs. This is a Utah State Park, maybe their website has that info. Leo
