I actually went to this spooky place first at night in the dark. It is a short walk from the parking area. I took my flashlight and tripod and spent a couple of hours there, and went back the next morning for some daytime shots.

Devils Garden is a wonderland of ancient sandstone. It is one of the many spectacular features of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Take a picnic and a sense if adventure and drive just about 15 miles down the Hole in the Rock road and...More

This is a great scenic spot to spend at least an hour or more walking around the area. It's similar to Goblin Valley but smaller with more greenery. The road is in pretty decent condition to get there as well.

It is about 10miles on an unpaved road but only a few meters off of it. The rock formations are like nothing else I have seen in Utah and well worth the drive. The formations are easy to get around. Take time time and visit.

Devil's Garden is very similar to Goblin State Park, but more accessible and with more greenery. It is also one of the very few places on Hole In The Rock Road (maybe the ONLY place) that has toilets. I have a blog at accidentaladventuress.com with...More

Past spectacular rock formations. If you're feeling brave you can walk across one of the natural arches here. Difficult to drive here if wet along the "Hole in the Rock" Rd, so wait until it has been dry for 2d before attempting.

Amazing what mother nature has conjured up in a smallish area. Also that because of the respect it has recieved by previous visitors that it is still very open to explore up close.

Stopped here after hiking Spooky Slot and Dry Fork Gulch for lunch and a look see. Devil's Garden provides plenty of interesting and different hoodoos with a couple of arches thrown in for good measure. Definately worth stopping.

I think it is. I do not recall seeing any signs saying no. It is good to check the website. Let me say this: I have never seen a BLM ranger out in the monument; only at their ranger station/visitor center at the edge of... More
