You hear a lot about this geyser when you're in Green River, Utah. Don't expect a geyser on the magnitude of Old Faithful, this one is much smaller and a cold-water geyser. Eruptions aren't predictable, but it's fun to take a look at the area,...More

This geyser isn't very consistent and we have never seen it go off. However, it is fun to see it and the surrounding landscape.

Whether this cold water geyser erupts or not, it's worth the short drive just to view the rock and colorful mineralization spreading out from the geyser, toward the Green River. While we were there, it gurgled and spouted about a foot above the top of...More

Disappointing says it all. The feature bubbled and gargled, but otherwise didn't perform. Don't be expecting Old Faithful.

an interesting place to visit. although it did not erupt while I was there, the surrounding terraces were fascinating to see. Also in the same area was an abandoned missile base from the 1970s, New Area 51.

This man made geyser is a fun little visit, but most likely you will not see it "go off", and by going off I mean spit and gurgle. This geyser used to spew as high as 100ft I have heard the locals say. but time...More

Follow the Frontage road on the south side of I-70 east of Green River. Make a right turn when the road narrows. There is a wooden sign that says Crystal Geyser. Maybe a 15 minute drive. Geyser was continuously bubbling out a rusty pipe about...More

Since the geyser cold water eruptions are infrequent and totally random, you will not likely to see one on a short stop. But, the mineral formations you will see are well worth the visit. Great photo opps!
