This was an unexpected find while traveling I-70. We were enjoying the scenery when we saw a sign for a scenic overlook right off the interstate. This is such a beautiful area and I'm glad we stopped to take in the views!

We were more than pleased with this area of our trip to Thompson, Utah There is much more to see in this area such as Peroglyphs and old homes and history of the area.

Compared to many of the other parks and hikes in Utah, this is totally unregulated and therefore awesome. It's on Bureau of Land Management Land and you'll miss it if you don't know what you're looking for. It's literally a turn off the side of...More

Enjoyed the trail though challenging in spots. Take more water than you think you will need. Would like to try from the top.

You get to the art within a few hundred yards. The panel is spectacular Fremont style rock art, a pictograph said to be a winged reptile, perhaps a pterodactyl, the Black Dragon. You can continue up the winding canyon to make it a 5-6 mile...More

The attraction here is a short hike to a rock art panel. After that hike up and over the slick rock mound. Gorgeous.

Great site, worth visiting, however directions could be a bit more detailed. Only found out about when I stayed at River Terrace in Green River
