Paved road up to the boat launch and then it turns gravel. Wonderful site for river fun, especially for families. The BLM provides both day use and overnight camping facilities. The beach is at the beginning of Lower Gray Canyon, not even a half mile...More

The water was muddy (as it usually is) and the current was strong. But if you are a good swimmer, it was an experience you will rarely get elsewhere with just a short drive into spectacular scenery. And if you don't swim, the beach was...More

Sandy beach, cool river, with intermittent shallow sections for short-leggers to safely explore. The action and thrill is riding a rubber innertube (with a life jacket!!!) down the rapids. Bring your drinks, shade, and food and sit back and relax.

This is one pretty spot! Beautiful white sand between your toes, mellow water and not cold at all. Beach is clean and a great place to spend the day with the family!

Keep going north on Hastings road it will turn to dirt and then you will see the boat launch and beach, keep going and you will find the nicest little campground right on the Green River. The restrooms were horrible, dirty. But sit at a...More

Use Green River as your base with cheap clean hotel accommodation. The “Beach” is a few miles outside of town. The road starts as highway, morphs into gravel and then becomes dirt complete with potholes. Don’t let the road conditions deter you so long as...More

I feel like most people are in Green River as a sort of "passing through" town to get to the next destination. But Green River has some really beautiful things to offer. One of the most surprising, in my opinion, is Swasey's Beach area! It...More

Hi, most of the road is fine. The last mile or so into the campground is one lane and gravel. There was a 24' trailer parked in a site next to the river when I was there.

Hi, I don't see why not. There is no one there to stop you. I do not have experience doing that but it would be fun to put in at Swasey below the rapids there and out at Green River State Park. Maybe talk to the ranger at... More
