Nearby to both fuel and walmart for wanting to spend more than a day having fun. Either is about five minutes away, and should it be too crowded for your boat, near by Quail Creek reservoir is open too.

Sand Hollow has everything you could posssibly want -- clean gorgeous water to play in, Sand Mountain to Offroad in, and is an beautiful park with absolutely breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Awesome! There's areas for picnics and nice beaches. Water sports of all kinds. Only saw maybe 20-25 people the whole day. Pet friendly!

Great views of the mountains, lake and dunes. Each day we did something different - cliff jumping, boating, swimming, ATVing (trails, and dunes). Camp sites on the west loop are very nice and accommodating.

I do know they perform random checks at other parks and if it's not registered they make leave. Not worth the risk if you want to enjoy your vacation....

For us it was decent there were quite a few of bass being caught mostly by cottonwood cove near the trees.
