Utah is a beautiful place to visit.. we love the entire state but have been in Southern Utah the past couple of years.. this Park is a gem with the Pink sands and the dunes. A small museum but wonderful rangers.

After navigating the road riddled with potholes (worth it), you stumble upon this beautiful park. As other reviews state, you *can* stop before the park entrance and enjoy *some* of the dunes, however the best dune views can only be seen past the park entrance....More

This was a side trip on a busy day and was amazing to see the sands. We just drove in and stopped for a couple of minutes but it was a beautiful sight. Almost expected camels to stroll past.

Yes, it is open year round. It does not even close for holidays. It is only open for day use. No overnight camping.

No, not located there. Most rental companies/guides are out of Kanab and will meet you at the entrance of the park. Our guide finished with a group and waited an hour for us to arrive for our tour. Note there is no... More

They rent plastic slides at park. yes you can slide down
