About
The free Little Hollywood Movie Museum , a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt non profit, exhibits a collection of actual movie sets as the centerpiece of its exploration of how the sleepy little town of Kanab became the back lot for movies like The Outlaw Josey Wales, Planet Of The Apes & Stagecoach and a haunt for Hollywood stars like Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Charleton Heston, Clint Eastwood and more recently, Kiefer Sutherland and Willem Dafoe. Both on the big screen and on TV in such classics as The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke and Lassie, Southern Utah defines the way we see the American West. The Museum is set behind Trading Post of the West, a gift shop focused on Made in the USA merchandise including fair trade Native American Arts and Jewelry, Stetson Hats and Abilene boots. From fine gifts to fun souvenirs Trading Post of the West offers a great selection at fair prices. There are big clean restrooms, snacks, drinks and a picnic area. Kid and pet friendly. Whether you have 15 minutes or over an hour, it's a fun place to stop.

Very cool old western movie sets. We totally enjoyed it. Free, with donations accepted. The owners keep the sets as original as possible. Very nice gift shop!

Stopped here while on a bus trip. They took us in where we were to eat. Next thing I know, they’re picking us for parts in a “movie”. Everyone participated in a 3 minute movie that they showed us at the end of the meal.

Our meal consisted of salad, a roll, beans, potatoes and roast beef. The meal was mediocre. Too much pepper in the potatoes and the beans were spicy. Very small dessert. Meal came with hot tea, coffee or water. Iced tea and soft drinks were extra.

The movie was funny to watch and they sold them for $20. Group photos were $10.

As others have stated, the “set” also known as the museum needs updating. Very worn down.

I guess if you’re an old western movie lover, you might like to see it. Otherwise, I’d skip it.

They have a large gift shop and average gift shop prices.

I’m not sure what our tour company paid for this, but it wasn’t worth it. This was my least favorite thing we’ve done on the trip so far.

It was great seeing the old western movie sets that Buck and the Preacher used as well as Clint Eastwood in A Fist full of Dollars. The movie sets take you back in time to the Western shows when I was a kid.

This has some wonderful movie history to review. If you are a western movie fan you can identify the sets for old movies you may have seen.
Please contribute $5 per person recommended donation so they can maintain this little piece of history.

My Son and I are huge western fans, so this was a treat. Of course its not Hollywood, but it has genuine movie set buildings so worth a visit if passing thru Kanab.

This is one of our favorite places in town. We love roaming through the building, taking photos and remembering when the movies had the "good guys" like John Wayne, The Lone Ranger, etc. The gift shop is also a delight and I never leave without something. It's a treasure trove of losts of goodies. There is also a hall in the back I guess for parties and the bathroom is really clean.

A little tired. We had some to kill. Don’t choose this over outdoor activities unless you are an old western movie buff. Cool Outlaw Josie Wells pieces.

This was interesting museum but very tired. Of course with over 200 western movie and TV shows filmed here since the '50's it OLD. We did enjoy walking around town seeing all the different film stars and seeing some of where certain shows were filmed including Gunsmoke. I think Boomer's will enjoy this more than younger ones. Who knew so much happen in this sleepy little town.
