While the road passes through some beautiful country and provides access to the spectacular Paria Plateau the riad itself is long and washboardy You will be glad to see the highway again.

I drove to Wire Pass Trailhead on Oct 17, 2016. It hadn't rained for a week before this day and the road was dry and smooth. I made it to the trailhead with a Kia Rio without any problems

This is a dirt road that can take you to Bucksin Gulch, the Wave, White Pocket & more. They're awesome destinations and you can make some bits of the road in a normal car (not sure how but you can). But do yourself a favour...More

Be careful when accessing this famous dirt road. Street vehicles will NOT make it, use a guide much safer, dont get caught out...it could cost you your life!!
