Love this hike! Its the right distance with kids or for a leisure hike with friends. We went in Oct and loved the chance to enjoy Fall. The end of the hike to the falls is through water so wear shoes that can get wet. We brought water shoes to change into- it does make the hike easier if you... More

Didn't have any trouble finding the trail head. The drive up into the Wasatch was beyond breathtaking. I ended up driving all the way to the ski lift area, before heading back, just to see the beautiful mountains. Coming from SW FL, it was even more spectacular. I was a bit apprehensive heading out on the trail as a single... More

There is not much parking, but we saw a good amount of people hiking here. The first bit is quite steep. The last bit includes some rock surfaces to climb down to the water area. It was surprisingly doable for a wide range of people although we did see some people turning around early. There are some rocks to walk... More

My husband and I have hiked Donut Falls twice, once in late spring, once in the summer. It's a beautiful hike, not too long (especially if you wait until you can drive up to the primary trailhead instead of parking at the road). The falls are very pretty, but it does get really crowded and that can take away from... More

Wow! Pretty family friendly. Pictures don't do it justice! Amazing! It's a good workout. So worth the falls.

The hike is easy until you get close and then there is a bouldery climb down into the stream just below the falls. Everyone was able to do it but I could see some struggling on this obstacle. The parking at the actual trailhead is limited (About 20 parking spots) and has a pit toilet. Most people part just park... More

I think the hike from the trailhead was 20-30min with kids. It wasn't bad and so worth the walk. Very pretty fields and trees and forest scenery on the hike to the falls. The waterfall was beautiful. The water was freezing even though it was 100 degrees out but we still climbed up to the top of the waterfall. My... More

less than a mile into the canyon lies this unique waterfall! That made the trek worth it. The falls is pretty cool, though not a very high waterfall. I love high waterfalls. But then, this one had significant water flow. That also make a good waterfall. The challenging (apparently illegal?) hike up the rocks that collapsed into the creek bed... More

this is a easy hike up to the falls if done after June when the snow is all melted, otherwise it gets a little muddy. the trail is pretty well maintained since this is a pretty trafficked area.

Because it's such an easy hike, there are way too many people. I prefer quieter hikes.... but it's easy with older people and little kids.
