Road took a major beating over the winter. Just be slow, take your time and watch out for bikers/hikers on the road.

I am staying at a hotel in "Park City" and the client is in SLC downtown. 30 minute commute is not bad for me as I love the “ME” time while I drive to-and-fro from work. One evening from work, I took the scenic route...More

We drove up to the top of Guardsman Pass on Father's Day, which was sunny and beautiful. The new road from the Midway/Heber side of the mountain is very nice and smooth. There was a good amount of traffic on the road around midday on...More

90 minutes to go 19 miles. My husband was helping me "navigate" and looking down the 1,500 foot cliffs with no guardrails, usually no asphalt. Scary. He has a CDL and I do not have one. Just a regular drivers' license. There was no way...More

we were not prepared for semi-offroading...nor was our cyclist prepared for the gravel. BUT if you avoid snow and potholes the scenic shortcut to Heber City is worth the ride.

Yes. Typically, Guardsman Pass is open by the first part of June. You will be fine. We did have about 150% over normal snowpack this Winter, which is great for skiiers and provides significant water runoff for our... More

We will be driving a 38' motor home to Park City next September. Would you suggest driving that large of a vehicle through Guardsman Pass Scenic Backway?
