We took an hour and a half narrated lake cruise rather than the ferry over to NY and back. It was a beautiful day and the history and stories of the lake are very entertaining. I recommend it.

Woke up at dawn and took an early morning ferry in order to be able to make it to an event in Vermont that morning. Taking the ferry from NY to VT on a clear day with bright sunshine was quite the burst of wake...More

Frequent, efficient. Another reviewer consider the $14 price for car, driver & passenger to be cheap. Maybe so for the US, but Canadians are accustomed to free or lower cost services, esp for such a brief journey. Still, I guess people are generally happy to...More

We used this ferry to cross the lake and pick up the Amtrak on the New York side to travel into Canada. It was clean, on time, and really cheap! And it drops off almost right at the Amtrak station, so we only had to...More

Know the length of your motor home and anything you are towing. We have been charged 4 different rates 2 of which are not accurate. Great and beautiful way to get across the lake but motor home users need to be aware.

Wonderful experience! Very scenic and comfortable, the ride was smooth and long enough to enjoy, but not too long that you would get tired.

No ferry from Burlington to Montreal, there is a scenic ferry from Burlington to Port Kent, NY, then you would get on interstate 87 and drive north about an hour to Montreal.
