This is off the beaten path but driving to it brought you through beautiful VT countryside! It was worth the extra drive. The tour was great, starting with a video outlining the start of the cooperative to present day! The gift shop was a cheese shop which I appreciated! I loved the tour, the location and the whole environment. Cudos... More

My wife and I spent a few days in Vermont, so we visited the Cabot Cheese Factory. We took the tour and were fascinated by the operation of the factory. Every day, thousands of gallons of milk are delivered to make their products. Our tour guide, Ed, was very knowledgeable and answered all questions cheerfully. There are plenty of samples... More

This was a great tour that started with a wonderful video. At the end there's a fabulous gift shop with cheese & local stuff to buy. So glad we finally went here.

My wife and I are huge Cabot cheese fans so we couldn't wait to experience the visitors center and tour while our our b-day getaway in April. Well, let me tell you, we were NOT disappointed in the least. The visitors center was fabulous. Every employee was super pleasant and friendly. The cheese samples...well, I could go on for hours...suffice... More

Nice place to stop and sample great cheese. The history is well explained and very interesting. The tour is short but fun, your walking through the factory as it's running .

The tour of the factory was great and provided by a very knowledgeable guide. It was cool to see and hear about the process of making the cheese. There was a gift shop with lots of selections of Cabot and Vermont items and lots of free samples too.

Very nice tour and information about Cabot Coop farms and products, including a cheese tasting room. You can purchase many different varieties of Cabot and other Vermont cheeses, maple syrup, beautiful Vermont made cutting boards, granite cheese boards, etc., etc. Vermont family dairy farming is hard work and we are fortunate that there are still families who love doing it... The tour is interesting, though you don't see much. It is a working factory. The movie at the beginning of the tour is interesting and where you learn the most. Otherwise, the tour is just walking down a long factory hallway and looking at several stages of cheese in production. It's not all that elaborate. The tasting bar in the... More

Went here as part of an anniversary weekend with my wife. The staff was pleasant, however they were not doing tours of the plant.

We visited on a cold, snowy afternoon. They weren't running the actual tour but we watched the short film - we thought it was interesting- and enjoyed the staff, samples and nice gift shop with fun Vermont items.
