Been coming here for the West Fest whitewater release for many years. This year (Sept 22-25) was the worst. The new park ranger harassed everyone who camped here - the campground was full. It was like being in a prison with a prison guard watching...More

We arrived early enough where we didn't get charged for a day pass (about 830ish am). We followed a trail/path along the river to the turnoff for "Overlook Trail". For how busy the campground seemed, we only passed two groups of people along the trail....More

The hike was easy enough for the kids. Seeing the falls and experience of the cold water at the base of the falls was a memory I'll cherish forever.

Go for the medium length hike to the falls and cool down in the lake on the way back. Lovely spot - pine tree scent everywhere. No bears in this area haha

Great hike with a flat trail as I have no interest in verticals. There are some side trails with elevation, in needed. We found walking adjacent ti the West River up to the bridge very relaxing, about a 5 mile round trip.

No I don't believe they have water and electric hookup. It is all basic camping with no utilities as far as I know.
