Great place for adventurous families willing to traverse the unmarked trails. Best to ask someone walking out best routes in and which of the upper or lower holes best based on water level. We found upper better in late summer.

Buttermilk falls is a beautiful find off the main road leading into Okemo Mountain and Jackson Gore Inn. Walkable from Jackson Gore across the street, its truly a perfect swimming hole for all. Small waterfall on-site toward top of the hill. Easy walk- mini hike

Easy to get to the end of the road from Ludlow. The path down to the creek is pretty rugged and it is hard to get to the swimming pool but is it a very beautiful spot. The falls are fun to sit and watch....More

What a great place to take kids. Even a nice spot up by old bridge where it's not as deep for young kids. Can get busy but was quite and peaceful when we arrived around 4pm on a weekday.

The Falls are hidden down a small path. Just park at the end of the road and the path is just off the road. Very pretty, cool and relaxing

It's not really a picnic destination. Better to hike the falls and then drive 5 minutes to Okemo mountain and picnic on the slopes. In fact, if you want to have a picnic/hiking day, drive to the top of the clock tower base... More
