Lake Carmi is a gorgeous campground. There is a clean lake with three pristine beaches. The staff is out every morning raking the beaches. The seven bathhouse/bathrooms are cleaned all day long. The showers were constantly being cleaned. We loved the security of the front gate where you give a $10 dollar deposit for a key (returnable upon check out)... More

Easy checking in. There is wifi by the gate. There is no cellphone signal. If you need to make a call you have to get out pass the gate. We are group and my other friends of mine came to check in after 9.We have to get key for the gate so they can enter to the site. It is... More

We just wrapped up a week long camping vacation to Lake Carmi State Park. This was our first visit to this state park and we had mixed feelings on our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful to a degree with recommendations on local attractions and places to eat but the campground was not our favorite Vermont state park.... More

We have been camping for 3 nights in the labor day holiday. I agree with the other's rewiews, except for the generators that I didn't hear at all. We stayed in the A area where they have a small beach that allows dogs. So if you have young kids and prefer avoiding dogs like me you can go to the... More

Camped at the state park, very nice and quiet in the evening. My only suggestion would be to have the person in the pay hut give a bit more info regarding the campground. IAlthough I did not ask, I was at a loss as to entry policy referring to the "gate". Would have appreciated a brief print out or verbal... More

We were planning camping on the Missisiquoi while we were running the section between Enosburg Falls and Missisiquoi Bay when our plans literally got washed away by flood stage water after a heavy nights downpours. We stopped in at Lake Carmi and (Patrick) the kiosk attendant was friendly and helpful. We selected a nice large, grassy site in the trees... More

What can I say, well here goes... i've been camping at Lake Carmi for over 40 years, yes almost as long as the park has been open. This park has changed very little over these years and that is one of many reasons that I return two or three times a year. The campsites are nice and clean upon arrival... More

We have been camping here for close to 40 years. It is a quiet, relaxing getaway, 15 minutes from the Canada/US border. The main reason we keep coming back is because it remains the same, close to nature.... no electrical sites, well maintained (thanks to the wonderful park staff and volunteers) a great choice of sites, open, shaded, with or... We rented a camp on Lake Carmi (not the state park, a private camp) and had a great time. Lovely views, tranquil waters and not too crowded made for an excellent week of lakeside fun. We'll be back again for sure!

It would have been a great campground... if it wasn't for the number of people running generators in the evening... Sure, they turned them off by 21:00h... but still...
