An agility course, swimming pond and miles of trails, this place encourages you to let your dog off leash and play with other dogs, run to his heart's desire and take a dip in the pond. A must-visit place in the Northeast Kingdom!

The gallery is small and fun, with a restroom large enough for four large dogs to be with you. The grounds are well manicured with a pond to play in and a huge field to chase balls. Buckets of tennis balls are scattered here and...More

I live in Boston and have always wanted to visit since I saw the NPR short documentary on Dog Mountain. It was an easy 2.5 hour drive with really beautiful mountain scenery along the way. Dog Mountain itself was even better than I expected. The...More

Are the trails on dog mountain flat trails? Are they wooded? Are there shady areas? Have a dog that gets overheated sometimes and just want the lay of the land

We did not have our dog with us, but the area was hilly. There were wooded areas and a pond. I think it's a place that your dog and you can do as little or as much as you'd like to do. It's an awesome place.

To those of you who have visited, are there other dog friendly attractions in the area to see? Like dog friendly pubs/restaurants, other hiking areas, etc? My husband and I will be traveling up to St Johnsbury in 2 weeks for our first wedding anniversary, and of course, we are bringing the dogs! We are so excited to see Dog Mountain with our little family! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! :)
