Stayed in immediate area but took my dog there for daily walks. Very clean, quiet, spacious park with campsites and restrooms and concession stand. Right on Lake Dunmore with wonderful swimming and boating.

Lovely view of the lake, but off season there isn't much going on. Admission $4 adult, $2.50 child seems a bit steep for a small park on the waterside. Good toilets.

We rented a canoe and enjoyed paddling around the lake. Loved seeing loons, a feisty cormorant and many gulls. Really a beautiful lake!

I think the closest full-scale grocery store is in Middlebury, about 10 miles or so north on Route 7. There's a shopping plaza with a Hannaford.
