I'd never skied on the east coast before a recent trip up to Stowe and Sugarbush for MLK weekend. The weather was cold but not impossible. My daughter struggled on the somewhat icy surface and the head of the ski school, Milo gave her a short private lesson at no charge to get her confidence back! She signed up for... More

Every level of skiier can be happy here, and the ski school is super. The base is well laid out, and compact, and the staff in the lodges and around the whole resort are warm and welcoming to everyone.

This mountain holds its own, when compared to the other big shot crowded mountains in Vermont. First of all it was extremely family friendly and the resort has a whole area dedicated for beginners and learners. I was amazed that at times baby boomers skiers outnumbered the number of 30-40 year olds on some of the slopes. The staff is... More

We took our kids to Sugarbush to ski the week before Christmas. It was very, very cold but it was sunny and there was no wind. A lot of the runs were still closed, but the kids were able to get in a full day of skiing. It was not crowded. This resort is very pretty. I loved the hotel... More

With a panoramic spanning the White Mountains to the Adirondacks, I always have at least one moment where I know exactly what my place is in the world. Hovering above the clouds at the summits, out-of-body experiences are not uncommon.

I am currently working at Sugarbush, in Mt. Ellen. The place is really pretty and it is usually not crowded, so, if you are new to snow related sports, it is a good place to start. That is where I first started skiing, and boy was it fun. I crashed ........... A LOT, but the adrenaline one feels when going... More

Yea, go Sugarbush, you are doing great! Skiers, snow boarders, tennis players, and just the casual visitor seeking fun and relaxation – they all get superb service from the Sugarbush staff. I mentioned 3 activities, but there are many available like rock climbing, zip cable, both indoor and outdoor swimming, yoga, and specialty classes of many sorts. The big sports... More

I hate to give this a average rating because there were many good and great aspects of this long weekend. But since I can only give one review for both the stay and the skiing I have to say average. I had wonderful conversations with the staff at the Sugarbush Inn prior to booking this trip. All were extremely helpful... More
