Good Pit Stop

Great place to stop while passing through. Has a ton of stuff inside the store. A lot of things you probably forgot about. Check this place out.

Charming, old fashioned motif with unique gifts, gadgets, confections, and food stuffs. We went on Black Friday and the store was packed with city people - not the best time to visit if you want a leisurely stroll through the various departments. Bargain hunters should not waste their time going here because prices reflect "Made in Vermont" branding. Although it... More

1. Started out on a 1.5 hr. trip from upstate NY near Greenwich, NY to Vermont Country Store in Weston, VT. Took us 3.5 hrs. to find it! Cell phone coverage was limited because of mountains and lack of cell phone towers. Called 3 times to get directions and kept losing coverage. Finally got some directions, on the catalog it... More

The original Vermont Country Store is located in the center of Weston. It's deceiving from the street, it looks small but it keeps going and going and going and going. When you get inside it is exactly what you'd expect from a real country store. It has everything from soap to kids games, flannel shirts 2 wine openers. There is... More

Loved our visit here! The shop itself has lots to choose from, to include lots of retro items and things from "back in the day". They have everything from clothes to kitchen items to toys and candies. Don't count on great prices though; I didn't see any sales either. They also have a restaurant next door that is pretty good.... More

We live in Seattle and have been getting their catalogs, so we looked forward to see the store "live" during our trip to New England. WHAT FUN! The place is stocked to the rafters with retro stuff, like toys we remembered from when we were kids, cooking utensils which are rarely found anymore, and almost-extinct brands of candies, crackers and... Ever so much better than just looking at their catalogue. You'll see things there which you haven't seen for years in stores (like Garibaldi biscuits (called squashed flies in the U.K.)). I love them! Also various cheeses and biscuits are wonderful and the biggest selection of candies you can imagine. Do go there!

Stopped off here on an escorted tour. This place is awesome. Spent a couple of hours here and it seems to sell everything. Wish could have stayed longer. Awesome!

Easy to find, parking available, and the store is always filled with fun gadgets, delicious cheeses, dips, nuts, candies, fudge, and other Vermont branded items.

This place is awesome. It has everything you could possibly imagine from silverfish repellent to wind up toy robots. Speaking of which the retro toys and science kits are worth the trip. You could literally spend hours there and not see everything they offer. The town of weston is a neat place too and worth the trip itself.
