I have been many times with children and grandchildren. We always have a wonderful time. The river, the sun, the relaxation--recipe for perfect time.

What a delightful day lazily floating down the beautiful New River, marveling at the beauty of the area, enjoying perfect weather!! The staff was very well organized as it was a busy day. They were very pleasant at every stage of the operation. Will definitely go back next chance I get!!

Went tubing at New River Junction over the weekend and had a mediocre experience. Went in understanding that we would pay $5 per person for the shuttle and $5 per person for tube rental. Thankfully we brought our own tubes, as the tubes that were available to rent were very small! Also disappointed by the length of the run after... More

This campground/river tubing business is in a beautiful setting. The personnel are friendly and helpful, as evidenced by their willingness to jumpstart our dead battery for free. Too bad the place has all the following strikes against it. 1) Trains: Don't expect to sleep through the night. The RR crossing is less than 250 feet away. 2) Facilities: One women's... More

-Beautiful setting along the river -Small sites – only 24’ wide -They charge per tent, not per site, a bit pricey -Very little level ground to set up tents -Only two bathrooms/showers, one male and one female and they were not clean and do not work from 11am – 6pm. The portajons help, but who wants to use them? -Two... More

Loose dogs, one camper and business's dog (dog fight with my leashed dog) even though rules are specific to having dogs leashed. Trains on one side of river and approximately 100' on front side of campground. Many trains run through 24 hours. Not just a couple. MANY! When we made the reservation, we specifically asked for as quiet an area... More

Our family (3 kids ages 15,11,9) enjoyed our day at NRJ. We camped on site and loved the tubing. As some other reviews have suggested, it's slightly pricy, but worth it in my opinion to have the shuttle service bring you back to the top. The staff were accommodating and the view was unbeatable!

We used an outfitter called Tangent in Pembroke for our tandem kayak and shuttle service. They took us to a place called McCoy Falls upstream from Eggleston. You can also start in Eggleston for a shorter, 6 - 7 mile trip. Although the map referred to several class II rapids, these were mostly class I, possibly because the water was... More

The nature is amazing, especially when you have a chance to relax on your tube and watch the surrounding mountains covered with beautiful trees. You have to wear a plastic sandal. Otherwise, you cannot walk on the bedding of the river. I really do not recommend tubing in the fast paced part because once I felt from the tube and... More
