We rented one of the cabins in the park for the weekend. Great accommodations! We went to the fishing pier, biked the trails, went into Cape Charles Old Town, and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the offseason. We are planning our next trip back!

We stopped by hoping to hike some trails but found that this was more of a campground than a state park. It looks like a great place to stay but noisy campers made hiking a different experience than we were looking for.More

Planned to stay for two nights, only stayed for one because of the promise for severe storms. Camping (tent) grounds were spacious & private, with firepit. Beach was not a long walk and the shop offered a fair selection. Didn't sleep much because of the...More

We camped in the campground and the cabins were in another location. However, everything is fairly close, but not a water view.
