The Tour of the University of Virginia is excellent particularly for high school students who are perspective college admissions candidates whether they plan on attending UV or not. The tour was given by a Sophomore attending the University which gave it a sense of student...More

Just walking around the campus is beautiful. Cozy benches set all around different areas. Summer school was in session, so students were all over studying. We went into the Rotunda and saw more students in all parts of the building. Lots of history in the...More

Our guide for this free tour prefaced our tour by explaining that the student guide service was independent of the University administration and it was not responsible for the content of her commentary. That stance is unfortunate because she took great liberty on her choice...More

We decided on the self guided tour which was nice. Attendants at the desk were nice and directed us where to go. Building is beautiful and reconstruction. The multi-media tables in the display room were really great for the kids.

Well worth the tour. The Rotunda library is amazing and the tour group is well educated! Make sure you get to see the dorm rooms too on the commons.

The tour is very informative. Definitely learn the history of the Rotunda and explore Jefferson’s design philosophy. However the Rotunda is closed for renovation starting May 19, 2014 through Summer 2016.
