Nice Architecture, Great Acoustics!

Went to see Blackberry Smoke. The theater is beautiful, and the acoustics are great. The graded floor helps with being able to see the stage, but if you want to sit rather than... read more

Saw two great shows "newgrass" bands last week. Tkts were gifts, purchased online, in the $25 per tkt range, plus $5 handling fee. Venue opened doors at 7 pm for 8 pm show, and lines form for the balcony seats due to general admission/unreserved seat tickets. The "orchestra section" has had seating removed for standing, dancing, socializing. Had no problem... More

We recently saw The Wood Brothers perform here. It is the perfect setting if you like seeing your favorite band up close and personal. There are no seats and the floor is slanted (think of an old theater with the seat removed) and because of this, there is no bad view of the stage! We loved it and will definitely... More

A very nice fun old theater! We had a blast listening to Joe lawlor and his band here during DMB weekend! A lot of room to dance!

Went to see Blackberry Smoke. The theater is beautiful, and the acoustics are great. The graded floor helps with being able to see the stage, but if you want to sit rather than stand head for the balcony ASAP! Enjoyed the concert!

Have seen several shows at the Jefferson. This is a great little venue and they bring in some real quality shows at reasonable prices. Well located in the middle of the Mall, so plenty of pre-show options available. They have a nice bar with a huge selection of drinks and local beers at reasonable prices for a show. I like... More

We visited the Jefferson Theater for a private event. It is a beautiful venue. The entrance hall is lovely, then the mezzanine/bar area, and below, there is a big open floor in front of the stage. It provides lots of flexibility for event staging in a really unique environment.

I have enjoyed every show I have seen. No chairs in "Orchestra area". A few tables with chairs. And two bar areas. Will go back soon.

I've been to two concerts in this venue. First time, I stood on the main floor, leaning against a wall to listen to the bands. During the opener, I went upstairs to check out the balcony and it was packed and I couldn't find a seat. For my second time, I decided I definitely wanted to sit down during the... More

If you are headed to Charlottesville, take a minute or two to see who is playing at the Jefferson. Great place to watch music, and generally they have a great lineup of artists (local and national).
