This could easily be a ho-hum excursion but couple it with a fantastic guide on a Sunday afternoon brings the home and Madison story alive. Recent excavations have changed some facts. Beautiful furniture.

We visited Monticello (Jefferson) and Montpelier (Madison) so we decided to visit Highland as part of our tour of the Virginia Wine Country. Great scenic views and only a short hop from Montpelier.
