The meal there is southern fried chicken with all the fixings. You get a tankard of soda and the plates are pewter and this is a buffet. Drinks are extra but the waitress, dressed in perriod clothing, will bring you all the food you want...More

I sought advice thru Forum in whether this would be too touristy. When locals, and folks who don’t like buffets, said it had great fried chicken, I reconsidered. So glad we did! Perfect stop after Monticello— keeps you in the mood! And if you’re visiting...More

The food is good and make sure to go hungry. They will bring you anything you want as refills. The staff is dressed in period garb and the big wooden floors add to the ambiance.

Our tour group was served a buffet lunch. Everything was delicious. The staff was extremely nice and helpful bringing around seconds if you wanted them. Great experience for our large group of 57.

It was ok for a buffet , we had been to Monticello and then stopped in afterwards, just ok and I think a little to pricey for what was offered. I would like to see a few more eating establishments in that area .

This restaurant serves a buffet dinner with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw and other Southern standard dishes. Servers are dressed in colonial fashions.

This authentic tavern truly has you eating like Jefferson. The food is served buffet style with time period food. And it is good. Ambiance is perfect. It was however a little pricey but worth the experience.

They have cole slaw. You must pay for the full meal even if you only eat the cole slaw. It is $18 adults and $11 children plus dessert is extra.
