Very nicely preserved old tavern. The fried chicken lived up to its reviews. Moist, crispy and never ending. Your server keeps bringing refills of whatever you ask for. A little pricey but worth it for the overall experience. The biscuits were also excellent.

Interesting atmosphere. Efficiently gets a ton of people into the restaurant and well-fed. Limited menu but everything tasted good. Left completely stuffed. You can take a walk around Old Colonial shops and trails when done. Price was good. Service was friendly. Recommended.

We learned the tavern was moved in 1925 from another location. It's basically cafeteria-style as when you walk in you grab a plate on a tray and proceed through the buffet. Then you choose a seat. It felt rushed as we were hoping to use...More

They have cole slaw. You must pay for the full meal even if you only eat the cole slaw. It is $18 adults and $11 children plus dessert is extra.
