Carter Mountain is a great place to visit in the fall for apple picking and the very best apple doughnuts that you will ever taste! It can get crowded so your best bet is to get there as early as possible.

So let me start by saying my first visit was not pleasant. This was the last stop on a wine tour of five vineyards. When we approached the bar for the flight sampling, the staff member was very rude. She pretty much shoved the laminated...More

Great place to go view sunsets, eat a snack and drink some wine while listening to music. Food a little expensive as are the apples but we love coming here for the atmosphere.

Had a great time letting my daughter pick her own apples and the general store has all kinds of homemade foods. They also have a short hayride around the orchard and Bold Rock Cider is there if you want a drink. Bring a picnic or...More

This is a great way to spend an afternoon whether solo, couple, family or friends. Apples were delicious and fun to pick. The donuts are worth every calorie! Great views. Can get crowded but they do a nice job with parking

The orchard is situated atop The Carter mountain which makes for an amazing view of the vineyards and the city. The winery offers a fine selection of wines to taste. The store sells everything Apple related. If you're hungry there's a plenty.

No animals. You might see deer, wild turkey, raccoons, possum or other animals native to the area, but unless they have a petting zoo event etc. there are no animals there as part of the attraction.

There is no fee, just the cost of the apples you pick. The cost depends on the type of apples you pick but is slightly less than what you'd pay in the stores.
