Grandparents with a 13 year old granddaughter enjoyed Captain Spider's tour around Chincoteague Island!! Next time, we would have our granddaughter sit closer to the captain so she could hear better!! Captain Spider is very easy going and knows a great deal about the history of chincoteague. We would take his tour again!!!

We took the sunset cruse around the Island, very nice, lots of wild life and Spider gives lots of info about the Islands history. The trip is a little over two hours as you watch the sunset at the end. Be sure to bring your camera and maybe a jacket as it does get cool for some people on the... More

This boat tour was highly recommended by a couple staying at the same B&B we were (Miss Molly's- highly recommend too!) Captain Spider takes 6-8 people out on his pontoon boat for ~ 2.5 hours. He is super knowledgeable and shares stories and anecdotes in a homey, familiar way. Because it is a small group, you really feel that you... More

We book a pontoon trip with Spider's Explorer on a Sunday morning and completely satisfied with our selection. Capt. Spider listened to our request to view birds and ponies, and enjoy a trip without the "cutesy jokes". The narrative of the area showed knowledge but not personal opinions. The cost was very reasonable, the boat in tiptop shape and very... More

My mom and I participated in one of this boat ride/tour's around Chincoteague by Spider's boat. This was the most beautiful thing J had ever experienced; after being to Chincoteague almost 20 times, I can't believe we had never taken a boat trip. We were glad we went on Spider's boat because he is very nice and very knowledgable. The... More

Called another tour boat company (Daisy's) to book a tour for a weekday excursion. The captain told me he was not going out but said his friend and fellow Captain Spider would be able to accomodate us. Spoke to Capt. Spider and arranged to meet midmorning the next day for an around the island tour. Two other people were on... More

Owner Operator is an exceptionally knowledgeable tour guide. The experience was one NOT TO MISSED. He took extended time with us and we got all the photos one might want. "Spider" is an excellent tour operator that you will not want to miss.

We had no previous knowledge of chincoteague island and its history. Spider gave us a lot of worderful history about the people, major storms, ponies, fishing cottages in the middle of the bay, satellite launches and his own story of loving the area from first sight. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, but it did not match the friendliness of Spider... More

We were interested in one of the island tours and our B&B suggested Capt. Spider to us. With so many boat tours to choose from, we figured we would just go along with their recommendation. The cruise was already booked for the afternoon but Capt. Spider made himself available for us the next morning. It was a very windy day... More

Great trip, I took my girlfriend up to the island over the weekend and booked a boat trip with Capt Spider and had a great time, we saw tons of horses, dolphins, bald eagles and got a great tour of the island, His knowledge of the island and history made for a great 2 plus hour ride.
