Quaint museum, small fee. They even have a scavenger hunt for all ages. Tons of other history to learn other then about horses.

We really enjoyed this local museum. It has a very modern feel inside with fun information about the local community history in addition to the story of Misty and the horses. The volunteers were very friendly and we learned a lot about the area.

It turns out that there's more to Chincoteague than just ponies. Back in the day, there were lots of oysters. NASA, NOAH and the Navy all have long histories here. And there were great old photos of people who lived in Chincoteague over the years....More

Quaint museum, small fee, kids free and they occupy them with a scavenger hunt. Lots of facts about the island, nice way to cool down for 45-1hr

The Museum will be closed for the season after Sunday, December 11th however, please call the Museum (757) 336-6117, we may be able to open for you if you'll be in town that week.

So sorry, we missed this question. $4 for adults. Children under 12 and active military get in free.
