My husband and I have been going to Westmoreland every year in September. It’s nice a quiet and so peaceful. We love to fish, watch the Eagles, the Heron and the deer in the early evening. The cabins and park are nice and clean and...More

This state park is one of the best, in terms of things to do. There are numerous hiking trails, a beach, a large Olympic pool, concessions, canoe trips, cabins, and tent sites. As I recall, the canoe trip explored early Native American artifacts around other...More

We love going here, year round. The playground is nice when the kids need to burn off energy and Warsaw town park is crowded. They offer swimmimg here in the summer, hiking, all that fun parky stuff. You do have to pay to come in...More

My husband & I stayed in cabin 20 this past weekend, and used that as our “home base” for exploring the area. The park was absolutely beautiful as the trees were aglow with the colors of fall. The camp store was cozy and warm, and...More

Stayed at Westmoreland State park for three nights this Sept. Had a two bedroom cabin that was perfect for four adults and an infant. Cabin 21 had a great location and provided a wonderful view. Everything was available to include kitchen utensils, pans and plates,...More

The park was beautiful! An absolute hidden gem. We found sea glass on the beach and there were plenty of birds to watch. They also have cabins to rent that looked very comfortable to stay in. Definitely worth a visit.

Many of the Virginia State Parks offer reasonably priced cabins, and the park is a wonderful place to stay and to get away from the stress of our daily lives. Don't expect WiFi or TV's, so you can really unplug. During the summer season, a...More

Had a really good time camping here and looking for shark teeth. We loved that you had a choice of the beach or the pool. We will be going back each year.

The address from this site will not take you there from GPS. We drove in to see what was available. Looked like a nice place to stay and camp. Beach looks just like all the others along the Potomac. Pool was a good size. Snack...More

We were in cabin ten on our second visit. It was neat because it was one of the original log cabins built. The downside was that it did not have a screened porch. We scoped out other cabins, and think that maybe 23 and... More
