Nestled in a quaint town just east of the Blue Ridge Starr Hill is a very cool brewery. The bar has an industrial vibe that works well. The glass walls allows you to watch the warehouse crew bottle and box the various beers they brew....More

Start Hill is simply amazing--terrific bar, great staff, wonderful beers, and an excellent food truck! Try the Red Reviver IPA, and the Festie (Octoberfest) while it is still on tap. This is clearly the Gold Standard for local breweries--all the more amazing since they've not...More

Beer was good. Enjoyed the Festie the most. Spent some time throwing bags out in the food area. The food truck was the real star. Mesquite chicken pita and white cheddar fries with bacon were insane. Those guys can really cook! Nice selection of merchandise...More

We hit Starr Hill on a rainy Saturday and absolutely loved it. The food truck that day was BBQ and the brisket sandwich was delicious. They offer a huge variety of beer, so we did a tasting flight of six choices and then each settled...More

Great looking place w/an interesting history. The beer sampling is broad and the flights lots of fun. Food trucks provide the food and on our day...good bbq. If you can, take the tour. Fairly short but educational and quite enjoyable.

Stopped in at the Starr Hill Brewery to try some of their craft beers. They have a nice "bar" area as well as a free tour of their operation. Food is available from a food truck parked near the outdoor patio area. I found that...More

There are many choices of great beer including their own label. There is a free tour of their manufacturing plant that is attached to the bar......amazing to see how a delicious brew is created from barley to bottle.

I've had their beer before and liked it. Stopped by the brewery just to check it out because I was in the area. I did not do a tour, so I have no comment on that. The bartenders were knowledgeable and helpful. The flights is...More

Little off the beaten path (this is a good thing) .. about a 20 minute drive from Central Charlottesville and away from tourists. They had a TV behind the bar and offer flights of their beer. Parking seemed limited... they have a lot on premise...More
