My wife brought me to the tank museum for our monthly date day. I was blown away by it's size. Great collection!!! So much history. The owner rides around on his tricycle and talked about the collection. Spoiler alert they have a German panzer. One of the deadliest and most feared tanks of WW2. It is worth way more than... More

Visited here for the first time today and we absolutely loved it. My son especially loved the awesome gun collection. The owner came by several times asking if we had any questions and he was so much fun and we loved hearing all the info about his collection.it is so extensive you could easily spend all day here. It's only... More

not exactly the most friendly or welcoming management team. There are some 'one of a kind' armored vehicles in their collection. It's a shame the location is also off the beaten path.

My wife and I and another couple were visiting Danville for a weekend and decided to visit the American Armored Foundation, Incorporated Tank Museum. I had heard that there is a tank museum and as a retired army veteran, I was interested in seeing the museum. The museum is in a massive 300,000 square foot facility. It has thousands of... More

We visited this museum because our son is a tank fanatic. My daughter and myself, not so much. My husband is a history buff (enough said). Shockingly we all were equally impressed by the sheer size and plethora of knowledge that is within the walls of this place. The soldier's uniforms, the medals, the pictures in many genres, and the... More

It has expanded so much since I went as a child! My son had an amazing time!! So much to see and so much to do! It's a wonderful immersive experience. I really loved the uniform area! One piece of advice, to aid in preservation, it is extremely cold!! Bring a coat!!!!

I only found out about the museum as I was driving south from the Skyline Dr to Savannah. I saw the signs for the museum but it was closed (only open Fri and Sat). I was not planning on going back thru Danville on the way north but decided to make the detour and was glad I did. The museum... More

Went there for the RC Tank event, had a blast. The owner was riding a 3 wheeled bike and was very will to chat with us and teach us about the tanks. I will go back, will take my son, and go to the next RC Day..

Whether you are a military buff or not this is a piece of history everyone should see first hand. The place is huge and packed with everything from uniforms to rare tanks galore. It is immaculate and well done.

Excellent variety of military memorabilia. Nice arrangement of exhibits, but quite a few works in progress. No Tiger or King Tiger tanks on display.
