Pets are not allowed in the caverns, so I had my son take the grandkids and a couple of his friends for the tour while we were in town. Per my son their tour guide was amazing for only being 16 years old! I stayed...More

Day trip including parents, grandparents & grandkids. Very nice tour with a small group led by an experienced young gentleman. Great cool place to be when it's 100* outisde. Only had one complaint. Grandkids were really looking forward to riding the train that's advertised on...More

Very neat attraction. Wish we could have walked at our own pace and not in a tour, but my niece liked it a lot. It was a little expensive as well.

Really nice caves with lots of interesting mineral deposits to see, some of which are rare. The guide was a little over the top but knew his stuff well and gave us a good 45 minute tour. Take a jacket as even on a scorching...More

Our guide, Sonny, was great-very educational and entertaining. This is a cave not a cavern in the sense that it is full of stalagtites and stalagmites. There is a particular crystal formation that was discovered here and many interesting features, just don't come here expecting...More

I just checked for accessible caverns in Virginia. Shenandoah Caverns are handicap accessible. Wheelchair ramp entry and elevator plus handicap parking. Located off 81 near New Market.
