This was a great visit. It is a landmark that Gloucester, Virginia, and the nation can be proud. Would love to see it restored to its original granduer. The story about this site is truly interesting.

This place needs to be preserved. I hope the caretakers can figure out a way to add back all the piles of original bricks back to the building. A reproduction of a formal garden woulld be a great addition.

It was a quiet and beautiful sunny day for a self-guided tour of the Rosewell Ruins. The remaining structure is incredible for its age and history. Definitely worth a visit and a stop in the visitors center!

We too had the place to ourselves as we visited mid-week. Very detailed history available at visitors center which allows you to understand what you are seeing. I noticed several picnic tables on the grounds around the ruins-this would be a great place to bring...More

My family and I recently moved to Virginia, so we were taking in the sights from local attractions. We were the only ones at the ruins the day we visited, and it was so nice. Beginning the tour with the video and artifacts before viewing...More

Wonderful scenic location and filled with local history available to young and old. For the older visitors, you can drive right to the Ruins and get out and walk around the grounds. If you go in a group and contact them prior to your visit,...More
