End of May stop by, Twin Lakes State Park on the way back from Occoneecheei State Park. That time two sweet ladies, Briana and Phoenix made us feel part of the park and gave us a reason to coming back. We went back to stay...More

I was traveling through this part of VA and saw the signs for the park. It does have pretty views of the lakes and is very wooded. There are restrooms near the playground that were clean. The visitor center was small and had typical tourist...More

Stayed here for 5 nights while catching some softball games at Longwood University. So quiet in campground - almost like we were all alone. Everything is so clean & neat. Should be great place for families, especially in summer months. Be sure to eat at...More

Wonderful place to have a reunion. wedding, or family picnic. Also swimming is available in the summer months. Use to go every week. Have not been in a year or so.

I have been visiting this park for many, many years now and have always enjoyed the peace and tranquility. My recent stay of a week has been the longest getaway with no T.V. limited cell service, and plenty a relaxation.

Once we found the campground (iPhone map app sends you to state forest), we were pleasantly surprised. Camp host and park staff were great and plenty for kids (ages 6 & 7) to do. This is definitely on our shortlist.
