Excellent museum. Spend a day (4 hours minimum) learning about the impact of NASA/Langley in the Hampton Roads area and the air and space timeline. Get to set in an airplane and pilot it virtually. Enjoy the different specialty exhibits that are featured. And the IMAX Theater is second to none. Currently they are featuring bees. The price is reasonable.

I wish I had known that there was so much to see at the Virginia Air & Space Center. I would have planned to spend more time there! I came across a brochure for this place and decided to visit. Now I know it's a "must-see" attraction. The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable. The space simulator was not for... More

Enjoyed a morning visiting this museum in the heart of Hampton. Lots of planes and space vehicles to see. Excellent exhibits. Helpful staff. The IMAX movie was outstanding (saw the one about life on other planets). Highly recommend for adults and families.

This museum is enhanced by an IMAX movie which is included with the price of admission. I felt it was more of a family fun activity with lots of hands on exhibits.

I hate to give it only three stars, but feel I must. The place itself was wonderful, but sadly I feel to let to many "school children" there at once! They were everywhere, screaming, yelling, running in front of etc... Just wild and out of control. It was very hard for myself and my husband to fully enjoy because of... More

There are a growing number of air museums, this must rank near the greatest. It certainly has a story to tell as the nearby NASA research center feeds not only disdaly items but also walking and talking docents who lived the story most only dreamed. Great open spaces enhance the displays of air and spacecraft. Interactive displays makes young visitors... More

This place looks small from the outside, but does not disappoint! The kids ran from exhibit to exhibit and really enjoyed themselves (ages 9 and 11). They loved the fligh simulator and had a great time making paper airplanes. We would have loved to see the area with the Mars exhibit finished, but overall we were very impressed with the... More
